I can tell that winter is setting in when we head down to New Orleans for stakes race action… and here we are for the Ferguson Memorial Stakes, a six furlong main track test for the young ladies.  Three of these come out of a similar race, at DED… so unless someone can step up to change the outcome, we have to look at that as our barometer. 

The Green Card and I agree on the horses, it’s just a matter of order, and The Man always says, box all exactas.  I put Profiler on top, fresh off of that win at DED in the LA Jewel, and she just missed in the LA Cup Juv Filly – she’s never been out of the money and no further explanation is necessary.  I’m taking Skedaddle in the second spot… I mean, when you’re in the witness chair and a Federal Defending Attorney uses that phrase in a $1.2mil case, involving a track… the writing is on the wall.  She’s just missed in five races, so this one is certainly a horse to be factored in, if you want to cash a ticket.  We also agree on Touch Of Oak, The Card says she’s the one… so you get the picture.
