I’m very surprised that Hard Nut was sent off at 19/1 odds… a lot more surprised than I am that he won.  A horse that really never runs a bad race; the Boomtown owned 2yo made the KY Jockey Club (GII) his own while stamping his ticket back to Louisville in May.  The bay gelding closed down the center of the track to win by three-quarters of a length while stopping the timer at 1:41.72 for the mile and a sixteenth, over the Fast CD main track.  Obi Wan ran a huge race to be second, showing some real determination in this race, nosing out In Good Order in third, then a neck to Street Magician in fourth.  Nine lengths covered the field of eleven, and we did have one scratch, Consensual.
