9 TAM The TAM Stakes (GIII)

We head over to the TAM turf and look at the field of nine set to go a mile and a sixteenth in The TAM Stakes (GIII). The think the post time favorite is rather obvious, but the four pounds that Devils Delight picks up off of that win in the Ft Lauderdale (GII) at GP scares me off of him. I landed on Rastaban as the top pick. He won the Twilight (GII) at SA last fall, and has been a tiring third in his two starts since… I think he gets the job done here today. Let’s give Riuscire a big shot here today, as well. He’s undefeated since being purchased at the June ’24 Auction for just $2.00. What a bargain as he’s won three in a row including the Tropical Park Derby to close out his ’24 season. The move back to the weeds has certainly been something to note. I’ll go ahead and put Devils Delight on the bottom of the ticket. Four pounds and an outside post position is a LOT to ask… but he’s got talent, so we have to give him a shot at a check. It’s a nice group and this is one of those races that could go any number of ways so grab a wobble-pop and let’s get a good spot to watch this one.
