To Gotham City and a field of eight Empire State bred sophomores will be sprinting seven panels in The Runyon, on the main AQU oval.  As The Card and I agree on the top two spots, I’m feeling good about our choices in this one.  We are both leaning on Lunar Sensation to get the job done here today.  From the Big Barn, he was last seen running a solid fourth beaten a length in the TP Prevue, in only his third trip to the gate.  He broke maiden over this track in solid fashion, so he looks the one to us.  We also took Im Off Mom as the second choice.  That one is also lightly raced, this being his third start, but he was a near miss back in Sep vs similar in the Aspirant Stakes, at FL.  He’s been rested since and may need a race… then again, he could just roll with that speed he possesses.  I went with Smokey City as the third choice and this one could take it all.  The Luz International trained gray has been solid as a rock, bring home some nice checks in the NY-bred stakes circuit, so no reason to leave him off the ticket in this one. 

It’s a nice field, and should be a very competitive race.
