1 Niece Knight Our Athletes Carmouche K 122 —

Ran two nice races as a juvenile winning the second with a game nose win in a maiden on this track. Her work times haven’t been too inspiring, but she has the right running style for this inside draw, and I would expect her to be right in it at the end.

2 No Ones Comparing Mb Stables Luzzi L J 122 —

Another that ran twice as a juvenile winning the second on this track her form reads much different though as both her runs came on the turf track. At HRP though a good horse can win on either surface, so this being her first dirt run does not bother me especially when you check out her works which suggest she is a stakes horse in waiting. She won over a mile so will see this trip out nicely enough and races from the ideal gate, lots of positives suggest she could be the winner.

3 Merlene Ottey Night Rider Stables Coa K J 122 —

Whilst the two inside are full of promise this one has been there and done that with four stakes runs and two nice place efforts, one over this course and distance. If you look to racecourse form as a pointer to victory, then this could be your choice as her second in the NY Stallion Series – Fifth Avenue would see her winning this race. The jockey choice here is interesting but I still think she is a shoe in for top three.

4 Forgiveness D J C Racing Stables Spencer J P 122 —

I think these seven furlongs could be her trip going on her runs over shorter so far. I like the fact that she has put in four honest runs, never finishing out of the first four and winning one in a competitive FL maiden. Her works are solid and so is her form, so she looks like she will be top four for sure.

5 Profound Dime Asgar Vives S 122 —

A game maiden winner on this track, she has run two nice races in stakes company since and was a good third in the PARX Future Stars last time. My one problem with her form so far is that she has looked a bit one paced and when she struck out over this trip last time looked really good at the six but by the time they crossed the line she was a tired filly. She will be fitter this time though, so maybe I am being harsh so don’t let me put you off if she is your choice.

6 Anna Lies Axeman Civaci S 122 —

Gets the outside gate but has some decent form, so may be able to overcome it. Prior to being bought at auction she had won two from three and was looking good enough to raise $61.000 in that sale. Since joining Axeman she has run solid races running her best race when a good third over this course and distance in The Gimma. I think the stable is still trying to work her out, but she clearly has ability and could run well.

SUMMARY

I can’t get away from No Ones Comparing here, her work on the dirt track was pretty compelling. She may have the measure of Merlene Ottey and after those two I would be boxing up the rest for third place in the trifecta.
