Another race where the odds were manipulated for the sake of the pickem contest… such a shame… but, Techfluence High, from The Sidley Stud barn gets the job done, scoring the win by a length and taking the lion’s share of the purse money in Saturday’s Santa Ana Stakes (GIII). The 5yo bay mare by Techfluence – High On Haggis, by Ginger Haggis, scores her eighth lifetime win, while pulling away down the lane to get the win, today.

Night Rider Stables’ Stellar Agent kind of played follow-the-leader, closing wide behind the eventual winner and snagged the runner up spot. This was her first start since Dec, so look for this one to be even sharper in her next start.

Reorganize from the Czech Out Farms outfit pressed the pace throughout much of this mile and a quarter test, but just couldn’t go on with the top pair late, settling for the third spot, a half length better than the photo finish for the minor placings, with Train Station just getting the nose in front for the fourth spot. The final running time was 1:58.44 over the Firm SA lawn, four lengths covered the field of seven and we did have one scratch, Supine.
