Well, I said it would be great to see this filly stay unbeaten, and I said she had to step up to do it and I am thrilled to say she did just that with a great win for this decent purse. Running her usual race, she stalked early and then asserted when she needed to and took a three-quarter length win at the wire. This was probably her easiest win in her toughest race so far and the sky really does seem the limit for this home-bred filly that now holds a four from four record.

2nd Piatt Royalty Stables Velazquez J R

She missed the kick just a little which is tough from an outside draw to overcome but she saw the race out well despite a less-than-ideal trip. She continues her highly consistent form and is a tough little filly that will continue to be a chance in races like this.

3rd Queen Mia Red Fox Farms Lopez P

Ran pretty well but can lack a bit of a turn of foot in a finish and that found her out today as she was well in contention in the stretch but just couldn’t find another gear.

4th People Easer Mb Stables Franco M

Like the runner up she didn’t get away too well from a wide gate and was always going to struggle from then on. She made ground but never really looked like being a win contender and she has left me scratching my head a little as to what is her ideal trip and indeed surface. I wouldn’t write her off for this performance, I think there is better to come.
