1 American Sky Riggins Racing Velazquez J R 123 —

Third in the BC Distaff last year and the winner of ten races, she undoubtedly has the class for a race like this and after two starts this year looks to be fully fit and ready to start winning black type again. My only fear for her maybe that as she ages this trip has become on the short side for her as she has looked a little outpaced early in her first two starts this year. She will settle back and rely on her turn of foot to get her home.

2 Devil In High Heels The Sidley Stud Franco M 123 —

Qualified and ran in the BC Fillies and Mares Sprint last year but proved when second in the IND Oaks that she can see out this trip. Very good on seasonal debut when taking the Inside Information, she was poor in the Beholder last time out but that may have been down to a rather muddling early pace, and she could be forgiven for that effort. Her works say she is ready to go again, and she hails from a stable that has been in good form for a while now.

3 Complicated Crazy TwinTowersRacing Hernandez R M 123 —

Could well be the pace influence in the race, she ran third in the Zenyatta off the front over this trip last season so has the right form for a race like this. She has yet to really fire this year yet but is working well enough to suggest this step back up in trip is what she is looking for.

4 Wrong Farm Winning Link Stables Corrales G 123 —

She has only won one race which considering how consistent she has been in graded stakes is a remarkable stat. Third in the grade one Alabama last year, she has started this year off very well with a third in the Bayakoa and a second in the Azeri last time so is certainly good enough if she can find the line at the right time.

5 Oprah D J C Racing Stables Lopez P 123 —

She won the Ladies Handicap on seasonal debut but then flopped in the Royal Delta last time, so she has a bit to prove today. This is a tough race to bounce back to winning form in.

6 Gutter Black Mo Mentum Farm Gallardo A A 123 —

She has passed through a few hands recently being claimed in her last start when beaten in an optional claimer at SA. She is a fair sort and pretty consistent so must be considered a chance, but she hasn’t got the stakes form of a few in this field.

7 Beautiful Eileen TwinTowersRacing Geroux F 123 —

A decent three-year-old, she was fourth in the grade one Cotillion last year so is certainly in this with a shot even from the wide gate. She was asked to stalk last time and that doesn’t suit her favored running style so I think her best chances here will be to go back and come home wide but for that she will need some pace on early. A few ifs and buts but has the ability of things go her way.

SUMMARY
An interesting race here and it is hard to completely write any runner off. American Sky and Devil In High Heels look to be the best especially with good draws and Wrong Farm looks a must for trifectas.
