The Card hands out the 1/5 exacta, but we get two of those and trifectas as we have a dead heat for the second spot and a cavalry charge for all of the minor money… but to the point at hand, Rock Creek gets it done as Big Bang Boom, ignored at the windows going off at nearly 13/1 odds, closes from well back to take The OP Hcp (GII) by three quarters of a length. The final running time was 1:464 for the mile and an eighth, and the track was listed as Fast. The WV bred gelding now has a 4/4/3 record from seventeen starts, and lifetime earnings of $1,074.800. Congrats to the Connections!
As mentioned, the minor spots were sorted out by Kodak as it went DH, no, no, hd, hd… Individuation from the Mb Stables ended in a tie for the place position with Grimley’s Ocala Secret. Spankys Barn takes the minor money as Mr Toxic holds off Evgenii in fifth and East West Party in sixth… some tough beats in that group. Only five lengths from first to worst, and we had two scratches… although I never saw one of those entered in the race… odd.
