Looked great in the Tryo last time and franked that form with a barn storming late run to grab the win here. The gelding operation in July certainly seems to have unlocked some code and he is now two from two in stakes, two from two on turf and two from two since being relieved of his most prized possession. There needed to be some of that good old HRP luck in running here as he was swallowed up from the inside draw, but the gaps came, and he was brave enough to take them, and this was a very nice win indeed.

2nd Gaelic Commander Barcelona Farms Rodriguez Jam

Got closer to the winner than he did in the Tyro but still couldn’t get home as the two went head-to-head from different sides of the draw for the entire race. You would have to say this one may be the black booker of the two considering the draw and it will be intriguing to see how they do when next matched up.

3rd Mayor Of Win City Mo Mentum Farm Hernandez R M

Led with a half furlong to go but just couldn’t hold the fast finishers and ended up in third. Another that came out of the Tyro, that race certainly told the tale for this big prize and whilst he hasn’t looked like beating the first two yet he is still an entire and will continue to improve.

4th Jinxed Star Mb Stables Cedillo A

Considering his lead up races you would have to say that he didn’t disappoint in his first turf start. Looked a little rusty inside the last furlong as he hadn’t run since June and I would expect to see him trying another race like this before the BC qualification slips away.
