The PID Masters Stakes was first run in 2009 and won by TwinTowersRacing’s Restless Lover. Now TwinTowersRacing is looking for another win in this race some sixteen years later with Bla Bla Bla. Mb Stables has won the race four times, but it has been five years since a win, but it looks a very good chance to get win number five this year as Untidy looks like an odds-on favourite to take this year’s edition. Fractious being Fractious started Dream Chaser off in a high-priced N3-N Optional Claimer at CD and got a win, turned around and got another win in the grade three Hendrie Stakes at WO and placed in a couple more graded stakes races before selling her to Allinthegate for $250.000. After three races, Allinthegate didn’t feel they were getting their money’s worth and sold her to La Gloria Stable for $138.000. Her new trainer has taken her back to the winner’s circle most recently in the $150.000 Twin Bridges at ELP. That should work as a sharp six-furlong tune up for today’s race.
2 Sweet Dilemma Maxmillion Farm 95
Sweet Dilemma took an unsuccessful tour of the turf for five races, and now that she’s back on dirt, she’s back to winning. Her last outing was her first stakes attempt, and her connection tossed her into some pretty deep waters where she showed very well finishing third in the grade two Honorable Miss Handicap at SAR. With that sort of start, she could be a threat here.
3 Untidy Mb Stables 99
Untidy looks a bit overwhelming in this spot. She just missed as the favourite in the grade one Ballerina at SAR. Race before that was a one-length victory in the grade three Hendrie Stakes at WO. Her world class form has her terrorizing lasses at any distance in any grade and here is more terror.
4 Bla Bla Bla TwinTowersRacing 95
Bla Bla Bla and Military Made duked it out in the grade two Great Lady M Stakes at LA where Military Made prevailed to win by a nose. Then both met again in the grade one Ballerina where Military Made finished a couple of lengths the better. Both were well behind Untidy, so it looks a race for second between these two.
5 Military Made Spb Racing 97
As mentioned above, Military Made seems to have Bla Bla Bla’s number in this battle for second, but when two lasses are this close, they can easily switch back and forth. As far as getting after Untidy, I think both have a lot of ground to make up.
