It’s Dead Heat Time in ONT Fashion as the SRF Offices Erupt in Cheers

ONT Fashion Stakes – Grade III
6 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $150.000 Filly & Mare 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st= Devil Slayer Maxmillion Farm Moran D

Well, out of the two winners, this one was the one I expected whist the other one was one I hoped for. In a race which personifies HRP there was little over a length covering every but one runner at the end showing us once again how these races are just so hard to win, This four-year-old stalked the speed and made her move inside the final furlong where she finished strongly in a very tight finish and the camera revealed she had shared the win. This was her sixth win from twelve and she is building a fine record after starting her career late with a maiden win last June.

1st= Anatolia Alabarda Stable Moran P

The trainer’s confidence in this three-year-old was justified with a last gasp effort which saw her share the win in a blanket finish. The noise in the news offices at the SRF was deafening as she finally got a run with a furlong to run and flew home as if powered by the printing presses themselves. Considering this one was being beaten at BTP back in March this was a huge effort after finding her first foray into black type last time ending in a baptism of fire as she took on the Prioress and got bullied into ninth after never really getting a run. Today the gaps came but only just in time, but this was a famous win even if it was just a share of a win.

3rd Daisen London Racing Wilson E J

Went hard in front and very nearly pulled it off going down in a photo finish which saw her inches from the win. She finished in front of the joint winner in the Prioress last time running similar tactics but today in good old HRP fashion she came off worst despite running a slower time. She has been admirably consistent since winning a maiden claimer at TUP at the start of this year and has been improving nicely building into what could be a lucrative year next year.

4th Ginger Tulip The Sidley Stud Hernandez R M

Went head to hoof with Dasien all the way but in the end came off fourth best albeit by only a half-length in the tight finish. Believe it or not this was her fifth fourth placed finish this year in black type company, and her luck must change soon.
