The Schiller – $150.00

1 Mile Inner Turf Aqueduct

With the early pace contested by four of the nine entrants, off the pace was the place to be in the early running of The Schiller at Aqueduct on Saturday, All of the top three finishers benefited from patient handling and rallied to gain the top spots at the wire.

1st: Suspect The Worst Majestical/Unsuspecting (Worst Case Scenario) Nakamura Stables’ 4-year-old continued his impressive recent form winning his third straight race. Sitting a couple of lengths off of the leaders early he made his move in the middle of the final turn and never appeared threatened at any point during the stretch drive. As noted in the preview he was razor sharp coming into this and it showed. Impressive winner.

2nd: Diventare Charley’s Latte/Limitation (Commanding) Sat further back than the winner and steadily improved position when asked. As pacesetters tired, he made a nice move through openings on the inside and held off late charging foe for second.

3rd: Jerry West Bight Command/Little Bird Vr (Viking Rasta) This one never runs a bad race and he showed his competitive nature once again. Far back in the early stages he did the HRP sideways shuffle at the top of the stretch to find a lane and flew home once he did. Got up for third right at the wire for La Canada Racehorses.

This was the first stakes win for Suspect The Worst. He has now won four races from seven starts this season and three in a row since moving back to the grass where he seems to be a new and very dangerous horse.
