Techfluence High chased the streaking Trumpino around the track to the stretch, then took over when that one weakened a bit coming down the lane only to be hard pressed to hold off the late charge of heavily favoured Nijinsky which missed by the thinnest of margins. This is the win that has been coming as she has been getting better and better at marathon runs. She looks to be the next big thing in this division.

Well, Nijinsky continued her disturbing run as marathon bridesmaid, making it five races in a row, two as beaten favourite, this time odds-on. It’s got to be a frustrating sight for Team 7 Illusions to look at her form sheet. She played this race as a deep closer and her timing was near perfect, but just missed by a nose. In the movies, jockeys get whipped for that kind of miss.

5   Trumpino                 TwinTowersRacing                  14.80-1 (HRP) 20-1 (SRF)

So, TwinTowersRacing does it again, another successful experiment as the unlikely Trumpino leads them around the track and comes within a length of hanging on to a 1 1/2 mile upset. Best part of the run is she showed she likes the marathon distance.

Baby Katherine got way too far back throughout, and although she made up five lengths late, that still left her six lengths beaten. Surprised me. I expected a lot from her. So much so, I placed her on even odds with the winner.
