1st Love Mo Mentum Farm Curtis B

The filly was always traveling strongly a few lengths behind the leaders, relaxing nicely and full of running. When it came time for the accelerator, she picked up readily and came away to win by a comfortable length. This win really backs up her grade one placing last time and sets up a four-year-old career to be looked forward to.

2nd The Lady Of Sod Nakamura Stables Bejarano R

The rain stayed away, but this filly still ran her race, stalking the leader, but after hitting the front she didn’t have the turn of foot to hold Love in the challenge. Another consistent effort, bringing her season’s earnings to a respectable $650.000.

3rd Ailin Royalty Stables Velazquez J R

Coming from off the pace as usual, she made good ground but could not get in a winning position and, in the end had to settle for third. There should be more to come from this one, though, and I would expect to see her make progress next year.

4th Flat Tact Mb Stables Lopez P

Going to the lead, certainly for the first half of this race, this filly looked like she was going to be another Mb superstar. At the mile though she was paddling and she faded badly to be beaten seven lengths. Considering this was her first effort over further than five and a half furlongs, it wasn’t a bad effort, but we may see her back in trip next time.
