Mrs Revere (Grade 2)- $300.000 Purse
CD- For Fillies Three Years Old
One Mile and One Sixteenth on the Turf
November 28, 2025
Six fillies are scheduled to take part in Friday’s running of the Grade 2 Mrs Revere, sending them a little more than a mile on the turf for a $300.000 purse. This is the 22nd time that the race has been run and has been won in the past by the likes of Halfbaked and Millionaire Heiress. Last year, we saw Reorganize grab the victory for Czech Out Farms. She’s still active and running in graded races today. Here’s a look at those looking to be the next Mrs Revere winner:
1- Firefish (Team 7 Illusions, ridden by G Corrales)- Debuted this August and will make her fifth career start here. She was promoted to the stakes ranks right away and broke her maiden in the $150.000 ELP Turf. After floundering in the DG Oaks against top competition, she bounced back to win an N1X allowance. Still has the feel of a filly that we don’t know what we will get on race day. Looking forward to seeing her race more regularly as a four-year-old, there’s not a whole lot that we can talk about with her yet other than saying she has terrific upside. Consistency is something she might still have to prove.
2- Stink Eye (TwinTowersRacing, ridden by F Geroux)- Has only won once over her fifteen starts, and that was back in August of last year. We know that’s not going to stop this trainer from giving a horse graded opportunities, and we have seen Stink Eye in races like the Cotillion as recently as September. She has her moments when she is close, but that doesn’t happen all of the time. This is just her second turf start, having debuted on the grass last time out in a runner up showing in the Ticonderoga, for NY-Breds at AQU.
3- Rain Rattle (Bears Stable, ridden by R Bejarano)- Earlier this month, we saw Rain Rattle in the BC Fillies and Mares Turf, where she ultimately finished in the middle of the field, four lengths from the win. To get there, she had won her previous three in a row, a run that directly corresponded to her moving to the turf. They were all graded races and included a four-length rout in the Grade 3 Winter Memories at AQU. Earlier in the year, she made a name for herself on the main track, winning the SA Oaks and getting to take part in the KYO, where she was fifth. Should be an effective bounce back for Rain Rattle here from the BC.
4- Ava (Royalty Stables, ridden by J R Velazquez)- Ava became a BC winner last year, when she came from well off the pace to win the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf. As a three-year-old, she’s been okay, but would probably also be considered underwhelming when factoring in the excitement for a BC winning two-year-old. Her only win on the year came in her last start, but it was when she was dropped down from the graded ranks to an optional claimer at PRX. Would like to see her run this the way she did the Grade 1 BEL Oaks, where she was fourth but within a length of the winner.
5- Sea Of Galilee (Winning Link Stables, ridden by B Curtis)- Picked up by the trainer this September for $44.000 in the auction, and has since made two starts in her new silks. In September, she ran in the $100.000 Harris Stakes at SA and came from off the pace to get up for third. A month later, she stepped up into the Grade 2 Valley View at KEE and ran fifth with a race line that’s not awful while also not being exciting. With her prior trainer, Bigking, Sea Of Galilee was a consistent finisher in the top four but her best finishes were in overnights. Overall, I wouldn’t rule out this filly, but she’ll need to better than she was in the Valley View to take down this company.
6- Barewolf (Maxmillion Farm, ridden by S X Bridgmohan)- This filly has made just four starts this year, but she has made them count, with three victories. All of them have been running with the NY-bred condition, and she was the one who knocked off Stink Eye in the Ticonderoga last month. Her other two wins for Maxmillion came in optional claimers. Overall, she has hit the board in all seven of her career starts, and she is like Firefish in that the best is yet to come for them. Looking to make a statement in her first graded race.
Prediction: 3-4-1-6
