1st Reciprocal Rubber Maxmillion Farm Geroux F

Well, there hasn’t been many races at the end of this long season that have gone to form so it was refreshing to see a horse win that looked the favorite on paper. Having said that he did only just hold on by a half-length over a horse he had beaten by five the last time they met so it wasn’t as easy as I predicted. Just off the pace he struck for home pretty early and held on gamely enough to put himself right in the TC picture for next year.

2nd Painted Ice Alydar Stables Curtis B

When this horse gets a decent draw, he will be winning a good race, but he continues to be treated badly by the draw monster albeit not as badly as he had done in the past. Just a fourth start and a much better effort than his run in the Champagne he is clearly improving with experience, and he is one for the black book.

3rd Liams Map D J C Racing Stables Santana R Jr

Stayed closer than I expected from the wide gate and ran on really well to be beaten less than a length. A solid type who has run well in good company I think he will be a contender in those early TC qualifiers.

4th Cherokee Monster TwinTowersRacing Franco M

Came from a fair way back to run a close fourth and caught the eye enough to be the sort to keep an eye on going forward.
