6 GP The Very One (GIII)
$150.000 1 3/8th Mile InTurf 4yo&Up F&M 124lbs +penalties
I have no clue why this is run on a non-existent turf course… in RL, this is on the main Turf as the inner was converted to synthetic… but why stick to RL when, well… enough.
A field of eleven will be headed to the starting gate for The Very One (GIII) a mile and three-eights marathon for the older ladies, and many of these have deep-rooted distance backgrounds. Against my better judgment, I will go to the rail for my top selection… obviously, not because Superface Party is an Mb trained monster, not because she has over $1.5 in the bank… but the rail can be treacherous in these races, but for… I think this one has the speed to use that inside position to her advantage, set the pace and get the job done.
Another that deserves a big look is Love… the Mo Mentum Farm owned 4yo won seven of eleven in ’25 while putting over $1.0 in her account. That 6f Alw effort was obviously a “warm up” as this one loves to follow Jerry Rice and go long! She will be tough.
I like a couple of horses on the bottom of the tri ticket, and weather could play into that concept, so let’s use Charlenes Way, November Storm and Nijinsky to try to nail down a key-tri ticket and walk away with a few bucks.
