Cinis Proves That Doing Your Homework Can Bring Results

Natalma Stakes – Grade I [BC]
1 Mile Turf Stake Purse $250.000 Filly 2 Year Olds.

1st Cinis, trained by M.b.o Racing Stable
The fastest mile worker in the field, she had every right to win this race and did so in great style. Getting back into the pack early on, she picked them up nicely after halfway and ran on strongly for a neck win. A daughter of Ashkalani, she looks to have stamina to burn, and this win will put her right in the picture for a BC win.

2nd Sheneedsa Brazillian, trained by Hawaiian Shirt Guy
Made a real brave attempt at four in a row, going down by a neck in a game effort. Up on the speed from her wide gate, she never stopped trying but was just outstayed at the end. A better draw could well have seen her go one better, and she will be right in it come BC day.

3rd KTD, trained by Aer Stables
Taken back from a widish draw, she ran on very well at the end from a difficult position. This was a good effort, and she is clearly improving at the right time of year.

4th Snappy Ruler, trained by D J C Racing Stables
Ran very well at long odds in her first run on the turf.

SUMMARY
Just five lengths covered all the runners, so you couldn’t say anybody ran badly, and with a different draw and a few blocks, pretty much any of these could turn the tables. Having said that, the winner won it nicely and looks to tick a lot of BC boxes. Good luck to M.b.o in November.
