The Gamely Stakes G1 1 1/8 on Turf
Purse $300.00 For Fillies And Mares Three Years Old And Upward
Santa Anita Park Arcadia, Ca
The Gamely Stakes might have only drawn seven entrants, but it should be a good race and is interesting to look at when doing your studying.
Memorial Day (originally known as Decoration Day) is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the military personnel who had died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Love from Mo Mentum Farm is one of the four fillies signed up here and might have the correct style to topple this group, even with the outside box seat. “Love” is an eight for eighteen-win machine and ran one of, if not her best career races going this trip. She also does not appear to have the feared four-year-old jinx. Superface Party from Mb Stables is a tricky read here. She just missed in this race last year, but her connections have sent her longer distances most of the time since and the shape of this race could be a muddy proposition to nail. She will need one of her best efforts to get the top prize Monday and it is noted that one of those was at this distance. Mami from Alydar Stables is an extremely nice four-year-old filly. She draws the rail and should be able to draft into a nice tracking position. The biggest question with her is the aforementioned four-year-old jinx. She was not the same racehorse in her January debut, and the next start was a sprint down the hill and even her lone sprint victory was a maiden win going seven and a half panels. All three tries at this distance have been superb, still demand a little more value than normal on her. Voltaire from Threshold is a battle tested six-year-old mare who ran well enough in her last start, a grade three going a flat mile on this track, to make her a threat for at least a piece here. If they try to go too slow early and sprint home she could be in good position to surprise.
Of The Rest:
Happy Dancer from Nakamura Stables ran well enough in New York going this trip to give her a fighting chance Monday against foes that otherwise look a little to tough.
Elegance Of Light from Maxmillion Farm has only rung the bell once in nine tries going two-turns and now tries to shake off the rust of a three-month absence in a pretty tough spot. the trainer’s lifetime record says maybe, the form says maybe not.
My Dams Atitude from The Sidley Stud is a horse that needs to be looked at closely, not glanced at, because if you glance you give her a big thumbs up and there is no doubt the four victories off a two-dollar purchase are noteworthy. However, the competition is more than suspect and the runner who finished behind her in The Sheepshead Bay was eligible for non-winners of three lifetime. These foes are not of that caliber.
