So many story lines… so so many. The winner was 99/1 and broke the tote board… it was quite a day here in Grand Prairie. When the dust settled in this one, Luz International’s Golden Authority picked up the pieces as the pace fell apart, scoring the win in the Speightstown Sprint. The winning margin was three-quarter’s of a length and the final running time was 1:083 for the six panels on the Fast LS main track. Claimed for $32.00 back in Sep of last year, the 7yo altered speedster took down his eighth lifetime win and sent his earnings to $494.48, in the process. Congrats to the Connections!
Broken Spoke Stables’ Mooka Decima also closed well in the late stages to nab the second spot, that one dismissed at nearly 22/1 odds. It was another neck to De Proof from the Spb Racing outfit, and the same margin to post-time favorite and the winner’s stable-mate, Daddys A Baller in fourth. Nine went to post, covered by only two lengths and there were no scratches.
