At least we both had the winner on top…  The PEN Mile (GIII) was another in a long long long long line of Mb Stables domination as the big barn finishes one-two in this one mile turf stakes.  When it was all said and done, Reign Supreme out-lasted stable-mate Stormy Knight to collect the lion’s share of the $400.00 purse and the graded victory.  Showing good speed throughout this one, the 3yo chestnut took a clear lead into the lane and went under the wire in front by a quarter length, stopping the clock at 1:32⁴ for the flat mile.  That was the fourth lifetime score, all this season, and he now has earnings of $1,048.430.  Congrats to the Connections.

As mentioned, the winner’s stable-mate was making a late charge to gather in the runner-up money, then another three-quarters of a length to D J C Racing Stables’ Yellowbrick Road in third, taking a close photo for the minor share, as Lev By The Minute, from the Rock Creek outfit, took the minor share.  Five lengths covered the field of seven and there were no scratches in this race.
