Mb Stables patience with Scorched has paid off with another scene stealer (hey, I get to say that; I used it in the preview.). You just have to admire how Dan tested him on the Derby Trail, decided that was not his future, kept him whole while he tested him with this that and the other until the other turned out to be a nice stalker win in a rich $225.00 marathon turf race where he came from third three lengths back to win drawing away by a length. This might be some place to settle down and call home.

2nd      Freaky Obra Party           The Sidley Stud                    7-1 (HRP) 3-1 (SRF)

Another second in a $200.00 up stakes race for Freaky Obra Party and another excellent marathon run. He looks very much like he likes his new home, having hit the board in four of five stakes races for The Sidley Stud, this time coming from sixth six lengths back to come within a length of victory at the wire and on even terms with Sound Of Sins.

2nd      Sound Of Sins                   Langley Farms                 7-1 (HRP) 10-1 (SRF)

Sound Of Sins notched his third straight second place finish at distances ranging from six -furlongs to 1 3/8 miles, this another try at leading wire-to-wire, his first marathon missed by a length to dead heat Freaky Obra Party.

4th     Convincing                Diablo Diablo            *2-1 (HRP) 8-1 (SRF)

Convincing has had plenty of time to think about marathons but never has taken the plunge. Well, he’s in great route form right now, so his connections have him dipping a hoof in the deep end to see if now the plunge.
