–Runningfortheroses from Aer Stables broke sharply from her rail post and pressed the pace the whole way, then took over just before the wire and held on to win The Adirondack Stakes while completing the maiden-to-stakes double. Nice training job and this big win makes the $425.00 purchase price back in March a little easier to swallow. Congrats to the connections of this filly with a bright future. Will Name You Later from Serenity Stables dropped back off the pace and closed with a serious late rush to just miss winning in a fine effort. Zuzus Petals from Big Jd Racing ran a monster effort today given the parking lot post. She gunned for the lead and did everything but win the race in wire-to-wire fashion from post twelve. Big effort and one to certainly watch out for in her next start with a better draw. Grand And Lucky from Greyhound came out, pressed the pace and hung on gamely to grab the last spot in the superfecta in a decent enough effort.

Of The Rest;

Its Yesterdays from Blazin D sat back four to five lengths off the pace and then came on with a mild close to run fifth.

Sassette, also from Serenity Stables drifted up in the wagering for unknown reasons, but the board was right, as she never looked comfortable racing between horses chasing the pace and then came up empty in the drive to finish off the board in a dead-heat for sixth. Some sting is certainly taken out of the proceedings by the barns other runner’s fine effort, but the owners of this gal have to be a touch concerned.

Miss Wicked from TwinTowers Racing dropped back to last and then mounted a decent enough rally, dead-heating for sixth. With her style she is always at the mercy of the pace, as evidenced today.

Death Certificate from John Henry is a filly that like the horse right above her is always at the mercy of the pace. She made a decent enough late move, but not enough for a prize today.

Sunset Sur La Mer from Nakamura Stables sat closer than expected here and was unable to continue pressing into the pace as she tired and finished well back in ninth.

Whispering Pines from Mb Stables continued on her streak of being the betting favorite, but her backers sounded like a group of drunken sailors this afternoon as she was only able to circle the oval in tenth place the whole trip today causing the superlatives to fly.

Hand Carved from Pan Farms was unable to mount a rally on the afternoon and finished in eleventh place after never getting closer than ninth during the running.

Pot Pon Fire from Night Rider Stables broke average and was then hustled into a mid-pack position until they crossed the halfway point where she tired and dropped out of it to finish last.
