-Five year old Demonic Chant from Mo Mentum Farm looks to be coming into this event ready to break through. Taken for $50.00 in February out of a wire-to-wire score in Arcadia, he now finds a winnable grade three event after a decent enough run in The Cornhusker Handicap to set him up. This small field is full of question marks, and this looks like the perfect spot for the new barn to score. His odds should also be fair given the context. Knight Forgotten from The Sidley Stud was overmatched in his last two starts and if he is able to bounce back to his form from May he will be hard to hold off here. Caste from Arindel is a turf speedster drawn on the rail that will certainly gun for the front here. His numbers are plenty big enough, but the fact remains that he has never stepped onto the main track under silks. Watch the board for more clues. Quiet Return from John Henry is a past classer who appears to be done, however, the barn is not know for laying horses off and usually runs them until they rebound or until they are finished. Last year his best would destroy this field, but even if he can run to his current works here he could be dangerous.

Brave Storm from Simmer Down Stable was just taken for $30.00 when winning an option claimer over this track going two turns. He then was placed in a grade 3 event where he split the field in a better than looked effort. He will most likely intentionally break a step slow, drop down to the rail and make one run going into the far turn and probably should be used underneath in all exotic bets.

Nimbus Two Thousand from Bigchief Stables looks to rebound here after two dismal tries following a win that fits big here if reproduced. The surprise package for sure amongst a cast of question marks.

Power Grid, also from The Sidley Stud, comes off a confidence building win in an allowance race at Lone Star Park, a move becoming more frequent by several trainers than it ever used to be. He will in all likelihood still need improvement to get a piece here.
