–Phantom Protocol from Aer Stables broke about mid-pack but quickly moved up to close the gap and then sat a perfect tracking trip. She found another gear and held off the favorite for the win. Congrats to the winning connections. “Protocol” rebounded nicely today after a seventh place finish in her last start. Valedictorian from Nakamura Stables was our top pick and went to the post as the public choice. She was hitting high gear in the last sixteenth of a mile but could not get to the winner late. She has now run three strong races in a row since her initial outing. Tech Daughter from The Sidley Stud broke fast and sat right behind the early leader the whole way until getting outgunned for the silver medal late in a solid performance. Diamond In The Sky from DJC Racing Stables broke flat-footed again today and then came home strongly to dead-heat for the last spot in the superfecta with Champagne Shimmer from Acber Farms who was also doing her best running late.

Of The Rest;

Jolly Ginger, also from The Sidley Stud sat a good tracking position in fourth until she tired late and backed out of it to run sixth.

Majestic Alice from TwinTowers Racing was simply unable to overcome the wide draw today and ended up seventh on the afternoon.

Got Apples from Red Fox Farms gave her backers a pretty good sight for a while out on the lead until she tired and backed out of it to run eighth. I would look for her to possibly drop and cash going gate-to-wire against a touch lesser.

Forever B Young from Williams9 had a tough trip today as she didn’t show speed from the rail and paid the price getting trapped and knocked around pretty good. Look for a better effort next time with a better post.

Lucky Bluejay from Rock Creek ran like a horse over it’s head today and probably needs lesser foes to show her best and/or a touch more seasoning. At 15.2 hands she still has upside potential.

Distant Thoughts from Threshold showed only brief speed before calling it a day and ran last.

*Grayte Lovers from Mo Mentum Farm was scratched.
