Test The Waters Steals CT Classic

                                  CT Classic – Grade II

1 1/8 Mile Dirt Graded Stake Purse $1,000.00 Three  Years Old And Upward. At CT

1st      Test The Waters                 Mb Stables              6-1 HRP 6-1 SRF

In my preview, I dared to say he could be ready, and Test The Waters was. That’s two in a row for the gelding that once came within a nose of winning the Prk and definite notice that he is back in form. He handled this just about the same as he does most every race, challenging for the lead from start to finish and after drawing out entering the stretch, he was forced to his all to hang on for the win.

2nd      All Take                   Alydar Stables                 3-1 HRP 3-1 SRF

Seven-year-old All Take sprinted through the mile and an eight like a three-year-old pushing the leaders from start to finish where he poured it on to force Test The Waters to his best to hang on by a head. It’s remarkable that, at age seven, he could put on a challenge like this.

3rd      Jake From Statefarm                   Gdp Inc          17-1 HRP 30-1 SRF

Gdp Inc has got to be excited, his $11.00 purchase from Night Rider Stables, Jake From Statefarm, has just become a graded stakes horse, and he looked spectacular doing it. He came out of the gate seventh and remained there until the far turn where he began a deep close that had him sixth at the top of the stretch, and he tore down the stretch arriving at the wire only a quarter-length behind the first two.

4th      Individuation          Mb Stables                       *2-1 HRP *5-2 SRF

Individuation: This magnificent seven-year-old offered another great try as beaten favourite. It’s not often the public and I agree on the favourite, but this old-timer just deserved it. In the first half of the race, it looked like it would happen but then perhaps, it was just the years or a sixteenth too long, but he slowed down a couple of lengths.
