1. Terrifiant Sunset – Mb Stables / Lopez P

Trainer 2026: 1777 starts, 468 wins (26%)

Jockey 2026: 533 starts, 94 wins (18%)

Turf Record: 16: 5‑8‑1

2026 Form: 5 starts: 2‑2‑0

Recent Figs: 95, 94, 94, 91, 98

Running Style: Forward / pace‑pressing

Works: Strong turf works (1:09, 1:10)

Stat Take: Very consistent sprinter/miler type with elite trainer stats. Stretching back to a mile after sprint wins — stamina is the question.

Comments: Anything from this trainer needs to be taken seriously not least this highly consistent mare who has been handed the perfect gate for her running style. This is her biggest test to date and she is stepping out against some established stars so she will have to run the race of her life.

2. McCaskill – Royalty Stables / Prat F

Trainer 2026: 663 starts, 92 wins (14%)

Jockey 2026: 141 starts, 17 wins (12%)

Turf Record: 16: 6‑5‑0

2026 Form: 5 starts: 3‑2‑0

Recent Figs: 97, 95, 94, 94, 92

Running Style: Speed / stalker Works: 58s and 1:09 turf works — sharp

Stat Take: Excellent turf sprinter‑miler form, but most wins are at 5–6f. Trainer/jockey combo solid but not elite. Mile stamina questionable.

Comments: I would say she has very similar credentials to the horse inside her and is another that will be suited by this draw with her on speed running style. Although she has sprinted well she is proven over a mile and is another that will have to improve to beat the superstars in the race but she has the scope to do that.

3. Decimas Queen – Maxmillion Farm / Sanchez M J

Trainer 2026: 701 starts, 116 wins (17%)

Jockey 2026: 517 starts, 98 wins (19%)

Turf Record: 10: 3‑2‑2

2026 Form: 6 starts: 2‑2‑0

Recent Figs: 101, 97, 99, 98, 93

Running Style: Mid‑pack / closer

Works: 1:22 turf work — excellent

Stat Take: Comes off a G1 win and consistently posts high 90s/low 100s. Trainer/jockey both high‑percentage. Mile may be slightly sharp but class is undeniable.

Comments: A grade one winner on the dirt she is proven at graded level on the turf as well but is probably best known for her wins on the main track. She may struggle with the speed here but she wont get too far back and will certainly be strong at the end.

4. Poetic Panther – Maletto / Rodriguez Jam

Trainer 2026: 814 starts, 107 wins (13%)

Jockey 2026: 400 starts, 64 wins (16%)

Turf Record: 39: 14‑13‑7

2026 Form: 5 starts: 2‑2‑0

Recent Figs: 98, 101, 99, 93, 95

Running Style: Tactical speed / front‑end

Works: KD mile work 1:38 — course‑specific prep

Stat Take: One of the most reliable turf mares in training. Multiple G1 performances. Trainer/jockey combo is consistent. Perfect mile profile.

Comments: A super star that has hit a rich vein of form and whilst she has hit the odd flat spot in her form she certainly looks as good as ever in her last two. Already BC bound she looks at picking up a big prize here and whilst the trip is short enough for her her class will take her a long way.

5. Parnell – Saratoga Stud / Machado L

Trainer 2026: 80 starts, 12 wins (15%)

Jockey 2026: 138 starts, 23 wins (17%)

Turf Record: 10: 3‑1‑1

2026 Form: 4 starts: 2‑0‑0

Recent Figs: 97, 97, 91, 89

Running Style: Mid‑pack

Works: Light but steady

Stat Take: Improving 4‑year‑old but lacks the high‑end figures of the top mares. Trainer small sample size but decent strike‑rate.

Comments: Lightly raced she has looked improved in her last two over this trip and whilst she has a big step up to take today we have seen some results from left field recently and I wouldn’t be writing her off.

6. Rusti – Maxmillion Farm / McMahon C J

Trainer 2026: 701 starts, 116 wins (17%)

Jockey 2026: 108 starts, 20 wins (19%)

Turf Record: 9: 2‑3‑3

2026 Form: 4 starts: 1‑2‑1

Recent Figs: 95, 96, 92, 95

 Running Style: Stalker

Works: 1:10, 1:09 turf works — sharp

Stat Take: Very consistent improving filly. Trainer/jockey both strong. Always runs mid‑90s figs. A live contender.

Comments: Another lightly raced sort who has been making up for lost time. She has shown enough in her black type races to suggest she is a late maturing type who be right in the race for a top four finish.

7. Aime La Nature – Our Athletes / Gutierrez Mario

Trainer 2026: 339 starts, 51 wins (15%)

Jockey 2026: 82 starts, 10 wins (12%)

Turf Record: 19: 7‑1‑3

2026 Form: 6 starts: 2‑0‑1

Recent Figs: 92, 101, 98, 93, 92

Running Style: Speed / tactical

Works: 58s turf work — sharp

Stat Take: Has a G1 mile win (Just A Game). Inconsistent but dangerous when she fires. Trainer solid; jockey slightly below average.

Comments: A grade one winner over this trip so must be respected although she can be a little inconsistent at times. She wont be unhappy if the rains dampens the ground and is certainly up to this at her best but we wont know if she is in the right mood until after the race.

8. Miss Hijinks – Maxmillion Farm / Contreras L

Trainer 2026: 701 starts, 116 wins (17%)

Jockey 2026: 184 starts, 42 wins (23%)

Turf Record: 20: 5‑4‑2

2026 Form: 4 starts: 1‑1‑0

Recent Figs: 94, 96, 88, 94

Running Style: Closer Works: 1:10 turf — good

Stat Take: Honest mare with strong jockey strike‑rate. Usually runs mid‑90s but lacks the explosive late kick of the top closers.

Comments: A solid type who has performed well enough over the mile to be a chance albeit an outside one.

9. Starry Starry Nights – D J C Racing / Elliott S

Trainer 2026: 1991 starts, 286 wins (14%)

Jockey 2026: 623 starts, 160 wins (26%)

Turf Record: 16: 3‑4‑3

2026 Form: 5 starts: 1‑1‑1

Recent Figs: 98, 94, 97, 93, 92

Running Style: Versatile

Works: 1:09 and 3 turf — excellent

Stat Take: Jockey is elite. Trainer high‑volume but average strike‑rate. Capable of big efforts but inconsistent.

Comments: She has a punchers chance but the draw will make it tough as she looks for a spot to launch from in the first half of the race. She has early speed which will help but she will need the field to spread quickly to find her chance.

10. Memphis Reins – Williams9 / Moran P

Trainer 2026: 360 starts, 27 wins (8%)

Jockey 2026: 143 starts, 22 wins (15%)

Turf Record: 8: 1‑3‑2

2026 Form: 7 starts: 1‑2‑3

Recent Figs: 99, 96, 95, 96, 97

Running Style: Stalker

Works: 1:34 turf mile — solid

Stat Take: Very consistent but trainer strike‑rate is low. Usually hits the board but rarely wins at this level.

Comments: Another honest type, she was good enough in the Nassau last time to give her a chance but this draw will make it tough for her.

11. Savvy Instinct – Mb Stables / Lezcano J

Trainer 2026: 1777 starts, 468 wins (26%)

Jockey 2026: 222 starts, 36 wins (16%)

Turf Record: 7: 4‑1‑2

2026 Form: 6 starts: 4‑1‑1

Recent Figs: 96, 93, 88, 96, 92

Running Style: Tactical / stalker

Works: 1:10 turf — strong

Stat Take: The lone 3‑year‑old but already a G3 winner. Trainer elite. Improving rapidly. A major contender.

Comments: A three year old getting just three pounds and stuck out wide make this a tough assignment. She is certainly going nicely enough but she will need the race engine to create the scenario for her to win here as she may struggle to get a decent trip.

12. Affair Expert – TwinTowersRacing / Beschizza A

Trainer 2026: 2118 starts, 219 wins (10%)

Jockey 2026: 142 starts, 25 wins (18%)

Turf Record: 7: 4‑0‑0

2026 Form: 5 starts: 3‑0‑0

Recent Figs: 92, 93, 96, 92, 91

Running Style: Stalker

Works: 1:10 turf — good

Stat Take: Improving filly with solid figs but trainer strike‑rate is low. Needs a perfect trip to compete with the A‑tier mares.

Comments: She has pushed the speed over the mile before so the stable may use some of the gaming buttons to fire her out and try and break them. If not she is in the same boat as many of the wider draws in trying to find a spot without being hung out wide.

13. Beach Towel – Winning Link Stables / Espinoza V

Trainer 2026: 411 starts, 65 wins (16%)

Jockey 2026: 381 starts, 74 wins (19%)

Turf Record: 13: 5‑3‑3

2026 Form: 6 starts: 2‑3‑1

Recent Figs: 97, 100, 100, 100, 95

Running Style: Tactical / strong closer

Works: 1:22 turf — excellent

Stat Take: One of the most consistent high‑fig turf mares in the country. Multiple 100s this season. Trainer/jockey both strong. A top winning chance.

Comments: With an inside draw this would be my favorite to win but she has been handed a gate that will make it very tough for her. You cant buy class and she has bags of it so she will still be right in this without a doubt but, despite some huge efforts in her past this may be her best ever if she can win. A certainty for top four and given a bit of race engine luck she could be the winner.

14. Antares – Alydar Stables / Centeno D E

Trainer 2026: 1565 starts, 238 wins (15%)

Jockey 2026: 390 starts, 72 wins (18%)

Turf Record: 42: 17‑12‑3

2026 Form: 6 starts: 3‑1‑0

Recent Figs: 87, 97, 99, 99, 100

Running Style: Mid‑pack / closer

Works: 57s and 1:34 turf — sharp

Stat Take: Classy veteran with huge turf résumé. Best at 9–12f. Mile may be too sharp unless pace collapses.

Comments: Two of the very best in this race are drawn out in the car park and that certainly changes the complexion of the form analysis. At seven her last start was concerning as you are always waiting for a drop off at this age. More of a sprinting type she has done well over longer trips so the mile shouldn’t be a problem but the draw will be.

Race Summary:

With two of the best drawn out wide here it does bring in some of the lesser lights as the draw seems to be one of the key form pointers in these big races. Poetic Panther and Decimas Queen have certainly won the draw lottery and that will be enough to box them up for the first two.
