–Kentucky Fox from Night Rider Stables was well supported at the windows, had to take the overland passage most of the way but still came on best in deep stretch to pull away from his foes this afternoon and take down The Durham Cup in fine fashion. Congrats to the winning connections. Griggs from Bears Stable ran to his sharpness and turned the class corner today by putting in a big run. Away well and battled near the pace the whole way, he stubbornly held sway late to take home the silver medal. Knight Forgotten from The Sidley Stud sat at the back of the leading group and surged nicely late to grab the last spot in the trifecta. He ran a gutsy race this afternoon. Never Hold Back, also from The Sidley Stud lead most of the way and then tired to run fourth in a decent effort.

Of The Rest;

Burger King from Serenity Stables was our top choice, but recieved no love at the windows and the punters were apparently right as he put in a fairly lackluster performance today. Never really out of it, he just didn’t seem comfortable and had no answer at crunch time. It now looks like he might be on the down escalator or in need of another break.

Goodness from Jerry Garcia Racing was kind of in his own race today as he sat back half a dozen or so lengths away from the rest of the runners who all were in a tight enough pack, he then caught up to the field but only managed to beat one home.

Black Swan Event from John Henry was 99/1 on the board and actually much higher once the final odds were calculated. Unfortunately he ran like it and failed to make any noise, he now runs the risk of becoming either an unexpected project or an expensive paperweight, neither of which was on the barns wish list.
