Purse $125.00  For Fillies And Mares Three Years Old And Upward Foaled In WV.

🐎 1 – Kill The Lycan

Trainer: D J C Racing Stables Form: Outstanding and consistent. Her 2026 campaign shows seven runs: 3 wins, 1 second, 2 thirds, all with figures in the 92–99 range. Her BEL run on Sep 26 (94 fig) was excellent: sat close to a sharp pace and stayed on strongly. Works:

  • 19 Aug MTH 5f :58.1 (2/18)
  • 10 Jun AQU 6f 1:10.1 (1/38) These are serious works, showing she holds her fitness between races. Trainer Pattern: DJC typically keeps mares sharp with spaced, high-quality works. This mare is always fit, always ready, and rarely runs a bad race.
  • Assessment: Best overall form in the field. Trainer has her primed. Major player.

🐎 2 – Extra Red

Trainer: The Sidley Stud Form: Improving 3yo with mid-90 figures at CT. Her best run was the Aug 28 CT 7f (94 fig) where she finished well behind Kill The Lycan but held her own. She’s consistent but lacks the finishing punch of the older mares. Works:

  • 6 Sep PRX 6f 1:11.1 (10/43)
  • 11 Jul PRX 1m 1:37 (1/6) Sidley uses long stamina-building works with this filly, suggesting they want her finishing stronger at 7f. Trainer Pattern: Sidley tends to bring 3yo fillies forward gradually. This one is still developing and is being conditioned for longer trips.
  • Assessment: Solid form, good works, but not yet at the level of the top two.

🐎 3 – Aurora Heat

Trainer: The Sidley Stud Form: Very sharp. Three wins from her last four, including a 96 fig at FP on Sep 26. She’s a pace-forward mare with reliable mid-90 figures. Works:

  • 12 Sep PRX 1m 1:37 (9/69)
  • 19 Aug PRX 6f 1:10.4 (5/37) These are strong stamina works, indicating Sidley wants her to stretch her speed to 7f. Trainer Pattern: Sidley uses long works to keep her aggressive speed intact while improving her ability to sustain it.
  • Assessment: Form is excellent, works are strong, trainer intent is clear. A major pace threat.

🐎 4 – Lily Bless Her

Trainer: The Sidley Stud Form: One of the best CT-specific profiles in the race. Her May 30 CT 7f win (97 fig) is the strongest local performance in the field. She’s 3-for-6 this year with figures consistently in the 91–97 range. Works:

  • 18 Sep PRX 6f 1:10.4 (10/86)
  • 17 Aug MTH 6f 1:10.2 (2/38) These are high-quality works, showing she’s in peak condition. Trainer Pattern: Sidley keeps her sharp with repeated 6f works. She’s clearly the stable’s top chance — the work pattern is more aggressive than the other Sidley runners.
  • Assessment: Form excellent, works excellent, trainer intent very strong. A leading contender.

🐎 5 – Hammelot Stella

Trainer: Panionios Racing Form: Improving since the barn change. Her BTP win (88 fig) and FP run (85 fig) show she’s competitive but not yet stakes class. Works:

  • 27 Sep LRL 6f 1:10.4 (1/15)
  • 12 Sep LRL 5f :58.2 (2/4) These are eye-catching works, suggesting Panionios has tightened her significantly. Trainer Pattern: Panionios often improves claimed fillies quickly. The sharp works indicate they’re aiming for a big jump in performance.
  • Assessment: Works are excellent, form improving, but still needs a big leap to match the top mares.

Race Summary:

Well these races normally turn into a cash machine for The Sidley Stud and with three of the five runners they will look to dominate tactics here and negate the very good chances of the other two. However with the rail I feel Kill The Lycan can overcome the team effort and may be too good.
