–Petit A Petit from Jerry Garcia Racing was our second choice, broke just better than mid-pack and then came calling for the lead, took over and held sway in game fashion to score. Congrats to the winning connections! Sinissipi Swinger from TwinTowersRacing rebounded nicely today for a big second place finish. “Swinger” hadn’t shown his best for a while, but made a big impact today. The Hunter from Maxmillion Farm got shuffled back further than most probably have envisioned but when he finally made his move he came on strongly to grab the last spot in the trifecta in a much better than looked effort. American Mischief from Mb Stables tracked nicely the whole way and hung on gamely for the last spot in the superfecta in a solid effort this afternoon. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next.

Of The Rest;

Triangle, also from Mb Stables drifted back near the end of the pack and then came on with a solid run late to just miss a superfecta spot in a decent enough effort on the afternoon.

Meekshallinherit from Big Jd Racing ran in spots today and managed to split the field. The Kentucky Derby runner-up might need a rest after a tough 3 year old campaign.

Fear Of Walking Dead from Big Guns Stables broke a step slow and was unable to get closer than 6th in the early going. He faded back in the stretch slightly but showed some gameness in hanging on for a 7th place dead-heat.

Painted Ice from Alydar Stables had a tough assignment as mentioned during the preview and paid the price late today. He still showed gameness in forcing a dead-heat for 7th.

Lesnar from Royalty Racing had a brutal assignment is several ways today but showed some grit by leading the way for three quarters, unfortunately he had no ability to re-rally and dropped back to 9th. If this runner drops and gets a decent gate going this distance he might be a play.

London from Mo Mentum Farm never really looked comfortable today, ran in spots and showed little to his backers.

Smiling Sorcerer from Degan Stables got into the race from the also eligible list after a late scratch but failed to do much more than just circle the oval. Interestingly, a ton, and I mean a ton of money came his way to put his odds into territory I couldn’t have imagined. Unfortunately for those involved he ran as I expected.

Lucky Tactics from Mb Stables was only able to circle the oval today and ran last. Will probably drop and be live in his next start.

*Weaponize from DJC Racing Stables was a late scratch.
