The Empire Classic
1 1/8 on Dirt Purse $250.00
For Three Year Olds And Upward Foaled In NY
Belmont Park, Elmont, NY

–Stumble from Mb Stables kept his backers on the edge of their seats Saturday as he got up by a nose to win The Empire Classic as the second choice in the betting. The five-year-old horse is now one win shy of ten lifetime victories and has earned just shy of $900.00. Congrats to the winning connections. Four-year-old Propector Gambler from Acber Farms ran a monster and came up a few millimeters shy of pulling off the upset. He proved today that his last race was a complete toss out and just missed on the afternoon. Nice effort. Post time favorite and our second choice, Never Hold Back from The Sidley Stud carved out all the fractions as expected and just came up a tad short in the final furlong.

Of The Rest:

Three-year-old Term Limits from TwinTowersRacing trailed throughout and then came on late with a strong enough rally to get up for fourth place.

Criminal Law from DJC Racing Stables looks very much like a horse in need of a rest. Hopefully he can get a freshening and regain his earlier form.
