1 1/8 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $500.000 Filly & Mare 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st Heart Nebulae, trained by SamIam
For a moment i almost thought the older horses may beat the three year olds but once again i was slapped into my place as the younger generation once more out performed their older rivals. This filly is a real improver who has been running very well against her own age group and that as we know is the best form at HRP. She got a little back early on but made smooth progress and battled on well for a alf length win. The odds suggest this was a surprise win but i made them all pretty much joint favourites so it wasnt a total surprise.

2nd Way Up, trained by Team 7 Illusions
Tried hard but could not get past the winner. The way she won the Cottilion last time i expected her to jump out and make all the running but it looks like the outside speed push was the reason for that last effort and you cant underestimate the influence of the race engine.

3rd Lullaby Maker Tf, trained by Team 7 Illusions
Once again found it impossible to live with the three year olds but ran her heart out for third after leading at the furlong marker.

4th Quiet Elegance, trained by Mb Stables
Another four year old who cant live with the three year olds.

SUMMARY

As usual the three year olds dominated, it remians to be seen if these two can live with the other three year olds in the BC if thats where they go.
