1 1/8 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $300.000 Filly 2 Year Olds.

1st Blackberry, trained by Our Athletes
When this tiny filly started her career with an eighth in a BTP maiden no one couldve known that she would end the year as one of the top two year old fillies in the game. She got bullied out of contention early on in the BC but still made ground to finish ninth but today she got a good start from her better draw and stalked the lead from the gate. It took every beat of her huge heart to get up by a nose at the line but this was a thoroughly deserved win by a real tough filly. If she can grow a little over the Winter she could turn out to be a real KYO prospect.

2nd Easy Time, trained by Waldo
Put up a huge front running display and had it won right up to the line. In the end it was the minimum distance that beat her but she lost nothing in defeat. It will be interesting to see how she trains on as a three year old because her running style always put her in the race and she seems to have plenty of heart as well.

3rd What A Troublemaker, trained by Blushing Meadows
Taken to the rear but ran on nicely to beat the rest. Still a maiden she was a fair way off the winner but she must be the best maiden in the game right now and must break her duck soon.

4th Aurora Lights, trained by Mb Stables
Stalked the two leaders but was outclassed in the end whacking away for fourth.
