1 Brilliantly Last, trained by Asgar
Carries top weight thanks to her statebred stakes win last time out i wouldnt be writing her off though because of that. Lightly raced she has been improving all year and has won her last two nicely. Se meets a weak field today and could well defy the penalty.
2 Hillbilly Medium, trained by Team 7 Illusions
Another that has won her last two albeit in lower grade the big question about her is the surface. She won those two races on turf but had run well enough on dirt prior to that to suggest she wont be too inconvenienced by this switch back.
3 Moon Chalupa, trained by Thinken Stables
A consistent sort this trip and surface will suit her well and she should have a good chance. Placed in a couple of statebred black types the two pounds she gets from Brilliantly Last could be the difference.
4 Problem So, trained by Team 7 Illusions
Looked pretty ordinary for her previous stable and could only manage third of four in er first race for her new trainer. In such a weak race she isnt without a chance and the wide gate may see her into the lead early and if she gets a soft trip may do well at bigger odds.
SUMMARY
Its pretty sad for the state that it could only attract 4 three year olds to an open race like this and none of these look much to write home about. Moon Chalupa may just have the edge with the weight it gets from Brilliantly Last but if she handles the surface Hillbilly Medium may just go past them both.
