1st Cant Touch That, trained by D J C Racing Stables
You only have to look at the form of this filly to see what a lottery racing can be sometimes. An on pace winner of two stakes races, a closing winner today. Beaten in an overnight last time, a grade 3 winner this time. You could argue that a horse that can run 57 and 4 for 5 furlongs wouldnt stay one and a half miles either but all those facts and arguments went out of the window today as this filly looked like a staying superstar in winning this by a very easy three lengths. Clearly she has bags of ability and this was a very nice win indeed and one that was thoroughly deserved for both the trainer and the filly.

2nd Howl, trained by Crocker Ggs
A Starter Allowance winner last time she was the horse that was proven at the distance and the real dark horse of the race. I think she may have even won if she hadnt been shot into the lead by the wide gate speed push but as it stood she followed the plan HRP has set up for wide gate leaders and weakened. She was beaten a fair way so i shouldnt be too bullish about this performance but it will be interesting to see how she does from a better draw.

3rd Shadow Of Doubt, trained by Axeman
This grand old warrior just didnt have the legs to keep up early but ran on like the honest mare she is to get third.

4th Plucky Amelie, trained by Barcelona Farms
Kept on for fourth but never looked dangerous.
