A race that I thought was going to be a tough fought battle down the lane did happen however it was for the minor awards because A Class Angie for owner Night Rider Stables ran them off their feet. The early and short leader of the race was my pick to win Its Taco Time for owner Sanny Village. Its Taco Time was quickly passed by Little Jen for owner MB stables that stormed away from the field and was playing a game of catch me if you can. The pace that Little Jen set was a moderate one, but helped set up A Class Angie who was trailing the field until she was ready to make her move. And when A Class Angie decided to make his move, oh boy did she, blowing by the field with apparent ease. This was a powerful performance by A Class Angie that will hopefully propel her into a very successful rest of her 4 year old campaign. MB Stables has to be happy with the way that Little Jen held on for second. As is becoming a reoccurring trend my pre race picks did not pan out….until next time.
Here is the payouts and breakdown of the finish.
