Dead Heat in Bessarabian Stakes Sees the Pot Shared

Bessarabian Stakes – Grade III
7 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $135.000 Filly & Mare 3-Year-Olds And Up

1st= Spring Street High Voltage Husbands P 1:22.08

Stalked the leader and kept gaining to the wire to force a dead heat on the line. This was a nice reward for a filly that has been trying hard in good company all year and her heart and consistency should see her do even better as she turns five in a month or so.

1st= Memphis Reins Choppy Inc. Wilson E J 1:22.08

The three-year-old led them up and showed plenty of heart to dead heat for the win. That is three wins in a row now for the three-year-old who is really going the right way, and the trainer will be looking forward to next year and maybe some of the top sprints for fillies and mares.

3rd Atomic Woman Williams9 Pinto M 1:22.12

Pushed the leader all the way but just didn’t kick on through the final furlong coming out third in the photo finish. This was a good run by the four-year-old, but I still feel the trainer has some work to do with her to see her reach her potential.

4th Procomp La Canada Racehorses Vanek H M 1:22.24

Tracked the first three throughout and kept on well but couldn’t find the turn of foot to quite get to them. Wasn’t beaten far but a half-length at HRP is enough to see her fourth
