Although we were close in this one, which is something, considering the favorite went off at 9/2 odds, Acber Farms’ In Good Order takes the Battaglia Memorial Stakes at TP, getting the mile and a sixteenth distance in 1:41.79. The track was listed as Fast. The bay gelded son of Good Ending – Lawless Order, by Law And Order, has shown to be a deep closer and used that tactic to get home by three quarters of a length, at 6/1 odds. That is his third win from five starts, and has proven to be a handy purchase from the June 2024 Auction, where he was nabbed for a mere $2.010. Congrats to the winning connections.

Declaration, a 15/1 outsider from the Team 7 Illusions barn, racing mid-pack through most of this one, then moving up when asked early lane to gain a short lived advantage, as the eventual winner closed fast down the outside to snatch victory from this one. Still, all in all a very handy race, showing this one certainly likes longer distances, and is a horse to watch in future endeavors.

Honour The Lord keeps the closer scenario going as this one as this one looked hopelessly beaten at the top of the lane, in traffic, but found a seam, split horses and made a big late move to take the third spot, this one at nearly 7/1 odds. I think this was an impressive race for the colt, and if he gets a better trip, the win may have been his.

Smitten takes the minor loot with an even effort, but one this should be a confidence builder off of a bad race to close out his 2yo season. He won first out, vs same this year, and not a solid, even race here shows that he does belong with the best of his generation.

Post time favorite Checkered was forwardly place, had the lead in the lane, but just didn’t have the foot to go on in the late stages, ending up fifth.
