It appears that the public just doesn’t get it…  Albaquirky, owned by Santan Stables, can flat out run.   Trashed talked by “great horsemen“, the 6yo gelding keeps on winning and closes from the stars to take the Kilroe Mile (GI) by a length, stopping the clock at 1:36⁴ over the soft SA turf course.  King Que Niagra set the pace but couldn’t hold off the late charging winner, taking the second spot by a half-length over Jacks Courage, then another head to Oh Brother in the fourth position.  Eight lengths covered the field of nine.
