All Systems Go for Mightiness in The Empire Distaff

-The Empire Distaff
Purse $250,000 (Fillies and Mares 3+ Foaled In NY)
South Ozone Park, NY

Mightiness from Team Seven Illusions is a five-year-old mare looking for her third straight victory. Her numbers are improving, and the distance is no issue. Mightiness also drew the rail, and her best races are when she is tucked in right off the speed. Her last two efforts would beat State Breds on most afternoons and are also the best of her career. At concert pitch for this engagement.

Ignore Tucker from Big Guns Stables has always shown class and made it all the way to the Breeders Cup Distaff right before being sold for $276,000 to her present connections. Since her ninth-place finish in the big dance, she has only managed a single win at the $46,000 allowance level in nine starts for her new connections. She did just miss in a grade 2 handicap and also made a visually impressive move in a grade one at Saratoga two starts back. Her last effort was lifeless, so the info is conflicting. It’s “do or die time” for the new connections, so I am guessing she shows the full arsenal today.

Boardwalk Authority from Winning Link Stables is a fast maturing four-year-old filly that is five for seventeen in the win column. She has the numbers to play here, and the distance is no issue. The ride she is given will have to be correctly timed to get her in the picture. Player for sure.

Of the rest:

Offlikeapromdress from Night Mare Racing is another four-year-old that will get the trip but might not care for the company here.

Go For Glory from Mb Stables is a sharp three-year-old filly eyeballing four straight after her first race test drive. “Glory” would be the top choice on most circuits if this was for three-year-olds only, but it’s not. With the perennial top barn calling the shots she cannot just be tossed out, but numbers are not on her side in a traditional sense anyway. Proceed as you see fit.

El Grande Latte from the Black N Gold Stables is another three-year-old trying older here. Also sharp as a tack, “Latte” would be a favorite easily if this was three-year-olds only. She will need to find Franco Harris type moves to topple her elders in here however.

Lonely from DJC Racing Stables handles all surfaces and distances and is working out ok since the auction purchase back in June. The post draw is a killer and others just appear better at this point.

Children Of The Sod from Onlineracingclub.com has class but is at times a little bit of an in and outer. The surface switch is interesting, and she has handled it before. Check the tote and maybe add her to your exotics. If she fires here she will be a square price.

Childe Girl from Nakamura Stables has recent form that simply doesn’t stack up here, however, her best career race was over this surface and distance in a grade two. Crafty veteran barn calling the shots and if the last two were simply confidence builders she could be the bomb of the day. You have been warned.
