We went lookin’ for a long-shot and it was the wrong idea in this one.   Always A Virgin, owned by Tinkey and sent off as the 1.60/1 favorite, stalked the pace and motored right on by when asked to take Saturday’s Beholder Mile (GI) at SA.  The classy mare stopped the timer at 1:34.95 over the Fast main track and the final margin was three-quarters of a length.  The Fractious owned Devils Bride used her speed to set the pace to deep stretch, but had no answer for the eventual winner, taking the second spot by a half-length over Arindel’s Scarlett Dream in third, that one taking a bang-bang-bang finished to nose out Riggins Racing’s Up She Flew in fourth.  Only four lengths covered the field of ten.
