Close finishes was the name of the game on Sunday at AQU and Angelic, the 7/2 second favorite in The Key Cents took the win by .02 over post-time favorite Luna Tick in a final time of 1:09.68 for the six panels. The top pair were two lengths clear of the dead-heat for third which saw Grand General and Seamstress inseparable at the wire. D J C Racing Stables conditions the winner and the track was listed as Fast.

Angelic tracked the pace from the rail, pushed up to engage foe inside the sixteenth, caught the leader in the final strides. Luna Tick broke alertly to set the pace, drifted out into the lane, continued to lead to the final sixteenth, caught. Grand General rated back trailing to the lane, closed widest of all, best foot too late, dh for the show. Seamstress unhurried early racing well off of the pace 2p, 4p for the drive, evenly, dh for the show. Secret Dreamer was no threat. Atomic Litta off a step slow, rushed up to track the pace to the furlong marker, tired.
