Anivia Takes Wayward Lass Stakes

Wayward Lass Stakes – $50.000
TAM – 1 1/16 Mile – Dirt
For Fillies And Mares Four Years Old And Upward
January 14, 2023

Until the Wayward Lass, Anivia ran one of the biggest races of her career one start back when she placed in graded company. That set her up for a big wire-to-wire performance in the Wayward Lass. Bombay Stable’s mare lost a little ground in the stretch but held on to get the win at odds of 6-1.

Spanish Style, the longest shot on the board, made a race of it late but couldn’t get there and settled for second. The favorite, Brienne The Snake, ran a steady race but could do no better than third. Poison Candy challenged the early lead, then faded to finish fourth. Incoherent was never a factor.

Anivia (by Brusilov x Barbeiterate (Seiterate)) is a BomBay Stables home bred. She finished the day with four wins in twelve starts and $257.720 in career earnings. Congratulations to Anivia and BomBay Stables!
