LS Race #10 $200.000

F&M 3+  116/122 Lbs (plus penalties) 1-Mile (T)

#1 Appreciate (Mo Mentum Farm/L.S. Quinonez 116): Filly spent some time on KYO trail before winning a N2X against ON-breds on the lawn.  That was only her 2nd crack at turf racing, and she made all after being sent off at big odds.  Catches a short field here, and she may be the lone speed of the race.

#2 One Night (Smokey Stover/S. Elliott 116): Yet to be out of the exacta in six starts, sophomore comes here after just missing in a CD G2 just 3.5 weeks ago.  She doesn’t have to be as far back as she was last time; however, a repeat of that performance could land her in the winner’s circle.

#3 Cowgirls (Maxmillion Farm/R.E. Eramia 118): SW filly on the dirt, she found turf sprinters just a tad too quick last time.  Only a single mile try on the main; however, the improvement she’s shown in her last two works over the lawn at the distance is eye-opening.  Expect her to try to stay close early before making her move.

#4 Zero Sum (Sccj Stables/Ru. Silvera 122): Only 4yo in the group, she’ll spot the three sophomores 4-6 pounds.  Barn has been patient with her and taken her through her conditions before assigning her this task.  She won’t be much of a pace factor; however, she has shown a consistent closing kick in every route start she has made.

Final Analysis: Only a group of four here, so we’ll only be picking an “ice cold” exacta.  We’ll call it 3-1 in the 8th edition of the OB Distaff.  Good luck to everyone racing on this Memorial Day, and please remember all of those who have served as well as all of those who continue to do so.
