Sunday’s Santa Maria Stakes (GII) took longer to load the field than it did to determine a winner… Mo Mentum Farm’s Appreciate bounced right out, set the pace throughout the mile and a sixteenth main track test, and drew away to win by a commanding three-lengths, stopping the clock in 1:411. Ignore Tucker closed from the back of the pack to secure the second spot by a half-length from Wavy Girl in third, and that was a three-horse finish for the minor monies, with Cackle Street getting the minor share. Six lengths covered the field of six.
