Another race with more chalk as Mo Mentum Farm’s Artesianic stormed off to win the CC Express by three lengths, covering the six panels in 1:08³ over the Fast CD main track.  He was second in this race last year, after doing all of the early heavy lifting, but was not going to be denied today, opening a clear lead into the lane and then going under the wire as much the best.  Sports Vintage closed from far back to nail down the second spot on the wire, a nose in front of Bay Day Pay Day, then another quarter length back to Whiskey Throttle in fourth. 

Artesianic is a 4yo bay gelded son of High Pride – Artesian, by Foresight, and he was bred in PA by Smokey Stover.  He’s changed hands a few times, the latest when acquired by Mo Mentum Farm for $47.500 in a race at WO.  This is his second win for this stable, both stakes scores, and he has four lifetime wins from eighteen starts, with earnings of $284.900.  Congrats to the Connections.
