Jinxed Authority Lights Up the Board in The SAR Special
At the beginning of the meet, Jinxed Authority broke his maiden against NY-breds at five and a half furlongs at 16/1. That didn’t seem to help him get more people to pick him in this one, as he went off as the longest shot on the board, at odds of 38/1. These races always can go any way, and today Jinxed Authority would get it done.

Full Field Hopes to Make Waves in Best Pal Stakes
The Best Pal Stakes provides us another great opportunity this weekend, in addition to Friday’s SAR Special, to see some of the brightest young two year olds in the game right now.

It’s Travers Time Already!
It might seem a little too early, as the month of August is just getting underway, but the Midsummer Derby is upon us. The differences between the Travers within our game and in the real world are pretty interesting right now, but here, it really is business as usual other then the early date.

The SAR Special to Be Smokin and Burnin
On Saturday, the biggest names of the three year old division will be at the Spa for the Travers. A year ago, a couple of them were seen right here in the SAR Special, which will be run on Friday.

Tremendous Heart Displayed by Z Command in Personal Ensign Win
This one would not be easy, but at the end of the Personal Ensign, one of the top horses in this division showcased her heart and talent, picking up the big win and punching her ticket to the BC Distaff once again. Pink N Bold Gets It Done in The MTH Oaks
Heading into The MTH Oaks, it seemed as though Pink N Bold would have a great chance to pick up the first graded win for Iolaus Racing. It seemed to be a perfect landing spot for her after her win in the Melair Stakes for CA-breds, but sometimes, things don’t always go according to plan.

Sunlite Hopes to Shine in MTH Oaks
A field of seven will be heading to the starting gate for the 15th running of the MTH Oaks, which is a smaller grade 3. This race seems as though it will be wide open, as we do not have that one horse in this field that stands out.

Z Command and Cannolo to Battle Again in The Personal Ensign
Races are not happening when we would normally have expected them at Saratoga. The Personal Ensign, like the Jerkens Memorial, is a race that would have been a part of the Travers undercard. Now, with 2020 being what it is, this race also moves up to the beginning of August.

Several Cut Back in Distance for The Jerkens Memorial
As we move into August, the heart of the Saratoga meet is set to begin, and part of the card on Saturday is the 18th running of the Grade 1 Jerkens Memorial, and that’s different then in past years. Normally, this race has been a part of Travers weekend, so it has been contested at the end of August.
