  • Great Field Lined Up for The Whitney

It’s time for one of the biggest races of the SAR meet as the annual Whitney is set to take place. The field will be nearly full for this race that pays valuable BC Classic points and a just as appealing $1,000.000 purse. That’s not fully restored to its highest level, which was $1,500.000, but is in line with the pre- virtual pandemic purse of 2019.

  • Maxmillion Farm Takes Top Two Spots in Hirsch Stakes

It would be a good day for Maxmillion Farm in the Hirsch Stakes as each of his horses stepped up and ran very well, giving him a 1-2 finish. In the top spot would be Empire World, a filly with an excellent winning percentage and she is able to make that even better here.

  • Mb Stables Sweeps The Amsterdam Podium

The Amsterdam always seemed like it would be an up for grabs race, but when you add in nagging rain showers throughout the day left the track as muddy for the race. This would therefore create the added question of who would be the best mudders in the race, and for the most part this was a very inexperienced field in terms of running on off tracks.

  • Expert Eye is BC Bound After Crosby Stakes Win

Expert Eye came into the race after winning the Grade 3 Bold Venture at WO, and there would be plenty of reasons to like him in the Crosby because of it. However, he had not been consistent lately, so if you were not convinced that he would follow that up well, that was a legitimate concern, too.

  • The Amsterdam Is Certainly a Wide Open Race

The Grade 2 Amsterdam will once again bring together some top three year old sprinters on a weekend that has plenty of top flight sprinting options across the country. It will also return to its typical condition of being run at six and a half furlongs instead of just six, as it was last year.

  • Maxmillion Farm Has Two Strong Entries in Hirsch Stakes

The field may not be large, but that does not mean there isn’t anything to race for on Sunday in the Grade 1 Hirsch Stakes. Points for the BC Distaff are on the line, as well as the $300.000 purse, and the trainers entered have to like their chances seeing only a field of six.

  • Get Set for Crosby Stakes At DMR

Points for the BC Sprint are up for grabs on Saturday in the 18th running of the Crosby Stakes. It will bring together veteran sprinters that have been successful at what they do and a handful of three year olds who, dare we say, failed in their quest to win a TC race, and think they can make a shorter distance their Plan B.

  • Moonlight Special Wins California Dreamin Stakes in Final Strides

Moonlight Special has proven that he can run well in big races, as after all he began this year finishing second in the Grade 2 San Gabriel. However, he has not consistently been given top level opportunities like that, or what he would take on here in the California Dreamin Stakes.

  • Naples Scores an Impressive CCA Oaks Win

The field was strong for the 18th running of The CCA Oaks was quite strong. One would expect it to be, but this race had a special level of excitement to it with so many TC runners taking part in it. This makes what was essentially a two length win for Naples all the more impressive.

  • Weights Are the Story of California Dreamin Stakes

Weight will make a big difference on Sunday in the California Dreamin Stakes, as eleven pounds separate the low weight from the high weight in the race. In this field of six, we see quite a bit of variance in regards to the weights that each of the horses will carry.
