  • Demon Too Hot for Rest of Aristides BC Field to Handle

The Aristides BC seemed like a race that would be up for grabs, but Demon would make sure there was no doubt about who the best horse in the field actually was. He was the post time favorite, as well as being our pick to win, but I was surprised to see just how heavily bet that he was.

  • The Aristides BC Will Be Up For Grabs

The Aristides BC is one of the races taking place at CD on Saturday, and will give us a field of six older horses going six furlongs on the main track. It has not always excluded three year olds, though, as from 2003 through 2018, those horses were allowed to participate.

  • Threshold Hopes Bronze Bomber Is Golden in Arlington Stakes

Six horses have made their way to CD for Saturday’s running of the Arlington Stakes, which is a turf event that runs a little more than a mile. This race will be remembered more for being run at AP, being contested there from 2005 until 2021. The closure of that track did not mean the end of the race, as it was moved here to CD last year.

  • Checking Out the Details of The Audubon

The racing will go on this weekend, but before I get into my first preview for the weekend, I want to say thank you to Mike La Rosa for giving me the opportunity to write for the SRF and for everything else he did for me and for the game. It is something that cannot be said enough, and I will forever be grateful for it. We will celebrate his legacy on Thursday, as well as the 20th anniversary of the game, and those two things certainly go hand in hand. Thank you, Mike.

  • Zalinda Shows Why She Was the Favorite in The Gamely Stakes

Heading into the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes, it did seem as though Zalinda was the horse to beat. The seven year old mare had been consistently finishing in the money at the graded level even if they were not all victories. This would make her our selection as well as the pick of the bettors as she was made the post time favorite.

  • Zalinda Headlines the Field for The Gamely Stakes

This Memorial Day, we’ll have plenty of great racing taking place and that will include Grade 1 action from SA. It is here where the 18th running of the Gamely Stakes will take a place, a race that has been a Grade 1 since inception. In its early years, it was run at HOL, and would move over to SA when that track faded into the history books.

  • Sinister City Sizzles in The Soaring Softly

There was plenty of reason to like Sinister City in the Soaring Softly. He had come into the race having won five of his last six, with his most recent race snapping the streak and having all the looks of a throw out. If there was any question about him, it would be whether or not seven furlongs would be enough distance for him.

  • Six Start in Soaring Softly on Saturday

Taking place at BEL on Saturday will be the eighth edition of the Soaring Softly, which is a long sprint on the grass for three year old fillies. It will run as a graded stake for the sixth time, and sees a purse increase of $75.000 to its current level of $175.000. Six horses will be heading to the starting gate in hopes of being the first one to win that race’s larger purse.

  • Gorogue Laga Dominates in Stretch to Win The PRK

The second leg of the TC is in the books, and it will be remembered for the dominant stretch performance of Gorogue Laga, who would end up scoring a three length victory. In our world, that is considered a rout, and for Gorogue Laga it serves as an impressive reminder of why he was considered the top horse heading into the KYD. He was made the post time favorite for that race, but would only muster up a fifth place finish.

  • Here’s the Field for the 20th Running of The PRK

Two weeks ago, Quiet Return etched his name into immortality by earning the victory in the 20th running of the KYD. It’s a win that will allow his trainer, Allinthegate, to say that they accomplished one of the biggest aspirations that anyone who has ever trained a virtual horse would love to have. Now, comes the second part. Can Quiet Return win the Triple Crown?
